Lindsay Meidinger is the Deputy State Archivist at the North Dakota State Archives. Meidinger joined the State Historical Society of North Dakota in 2012 as the National History Day Intern. After completing her internship, Meidinger began working with moving image, manuscripts, and government records. In 2017, Meidinger became the first electronic records archivist for the state. Currently, as Deputy State Archivist, she manages the organization, arrangement, description, preservation, and access of the State Archives’ vast collections - both paper and digital. Meidinger maintains the State Archives’ collection management database and digital repository. Additionally, she serves on North Dakota’s State Historical Records Advisory Board (SHRAB) which promotes the preservation and access of records with enduring historic value throughout the state. She is an extremely passionate lifelong learner of North Dakota’s history, people, and heritage.
